A Fun FoundationOne of the foundation blocks for scouting is HAVING FUN! At Pack 1783, we provide a fun environment for our scouts. Fun includes fun den activities and pack activities. Pack activities include camping at Cuboree, Mom-and-me/Dad-and-lad, pinewood derby races, Webelos camp, and Day Camp.A God FoundationAnother of the foundation blocks for scouting is a scout's relationship with his God. Cub Scouts does not promote any particular religion, but it does require that the scout be active in a religion. Activities and badges at each level foster this relationship. At each level, the scout can choose to work towards that level's religious award, or do other activities. If the scout earns the religious award for each level, then a special award is earned. See the Great Plains list of religious awards for more information. A Foundation of ServicePart of being a good citizen is service to your community. Pack 1783 participates in service projects ranging from Welcome Home a Hero, to Scouting for Food, to environmental awareness, to promoting individual desire to be of service to others. |
