The US Scouting Service Project has some good general information and a few skit, songs, etc. This includes the monthly online Baloo's Bugle with monthly theme specific suggestions for leaders.

There are local Scout Shops in Dallas and Allen.
REI has good camping gear but is a bit expensive. Dick's Sporting Goods is recommended.
